My Journey
My career began in experiential environments where I learned early that successful events require more than logistics. They require strategy.
At Six Flags Great America, I worked with media and press events, gaining firsthand experience in how storytelling, strategy, and operations come together to create memorable experiences. Later, at Kellogg’s Cereal City USA, I joined the marketing launch team for the brand’s flagship museum, coordinating media tours, guest experiences, and promotional campaigns.
These early roles sparked my passion for creating meaningful connections through experiences.
At the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (now Choose Chicago), I spent seven years developing strategic services designed to help association and corporate events succeed citywide. Our work helped organizations expand attendance, strengthen engagement, and achieve measurable success across Chicago’s citywide event ecosystem.
It was an incredible masterclass in the business events industry.
Shaping the Digital Evolution of Events
Later, at PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), I helped lead the industry’s early exploration of digital engagement and hybrid events.
I led PCMA’s Digital Experience Institute and helped redesign the Digital Event Strategist (DES) Certification, establishing one of the industry’s first global education programs focused on digital event strategy.
Through this work, I helped associations and event leaders explore new engagement models, rethink audience reach, and safely test emerging event formats. The certification program reached professionals in more than 20 countries and helped shape the global conversation around digital and hybrid experiences.
As part of that effort, I also spearheaded the organization’s first ROI report on digital events, demonstrating how expanded digital reach could generate measurable results—including more than $1 million USD in new revenue between 2010 and 2016 through audience growth, membership expansion, and new product offerings.
This work helped shape the global conversation around digital and hybrid engagement in the events industry.
Founding Kingen Kush Solutions
In 2019, I founded Kingen Kush Solutions (KKS), a boutique consultancy helping associations design future-ready engagement strategies through digital and hybrid experiences.
KKS has partnered with organizations such as:
American Heart Association
International Stroke Conference
American Epilepsy Society
American Health Information Management Association
National Electrical Contractors Association
Viticus Group (formerly WVC)
Together, we’ve helped organizations expand their audiences, strengthen engagement, and achieve record-breaking growth—often delivering 80%+ satisfaction scores, NPS ratings up to 96, and measurable revenue gains.
Next Generation Knowledge Sharing
For nearly a decade, I’ve also served as a guest lecturer for the University of Hong Kong’s graduate program, sharing insights on digital and hybrid strategy through its Professor for a Day initiative.
Teaching and mentoring the next generation of event leaders has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
Why This Work Matters
Behind every project is an exceptional network of professionals, from senior technology experts to customer experience specialists, working together to support organizations and deliver data-driven, measurable outcomes.
But the organizations we serve are the real heroes. They are advancing research, saving lives, sharing knowledge, and connecting communities around the world.
I often say we don’t do anything extraordinary; we support extraordinary organizations.
The leaders we work with are advancing research, saving lives, sharing knowledge, and connecting communities worldwide. It’s an honor to stand beside them and help extend their reach.
Let's Connect >Great engagement doesn’t happen by chance.
It’s built on strategy.
Even with limited resources, rising expectations, and constant change, associations still need events that connect communities and deliver meaningful results.
We help leadership teams simplify their strategy, engage their audiences, and build momentum that leads to sustainable growth.
